Robert Moses State Park Administration Building
Pathfinder provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering services for a new 12,500 sq. ft. administration facility for Robert Moses State Park in Massena, NY. The facility consists of two buildings: a vehicle maintenance/shop building comprising approximately 5,900 sq. ft., and an administration building of approximately 6,650 sq. ft., which houses park administration offices and park police functions.
The mechanical scope of work included VRF systems for the Administration Building heating and air conditioning, dedicated exhaust /energy recovery systems for ventilation, and unit ventilators with energy recovery for the maintenance/shop building. Specialized requirements for park police functions such as holding/booking areas, weapons storage/maintenance and interview rooms were incorporated into the mechanical and electrical system designs. The perimeter of the buildings are equipped with an in-slab snowmelt system.
Plumbing scope of work included sanitary, waste, and vent piping; well and septic systems to serve both buildings, domestic water distribution piping system including hot water generation, and a compressed air system.
LED lights were used throughout the facility, and a full size backup generator and emergency power distribution system is incorporated into the design.
