Each month we toconduct a fundraiser to support a local charity or charity that is near and dear to one of our employees. Pink Ribbon Riders is the organization we are currently supporting.

Pink Ribbon Riders. A Passion Project for Faith Wilbert Supporting Those With Breast Cancer

Snowmobiling has been a part of Faith’s life for many years, enjoying it with family and friends. “It gets us away from the everyday routine and time to breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the outdoors. Pink Ribbon Riders is an organization that I have been a part of for many years. It has become part of my extended family both on the trails and off,” she explains.

In 2007 she participated in a fundraising event and in 2009 she took that hobby and made it a mission to support Pink Ribbon Riders, a non-profit, volunteer organization that supports women and men in treatment or breast cancer.  Pink Ribbon Riders (PRR) is a grass roots organization that helps patients residing in the states of New York, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

“Our program is very unique as the funds raised truly go back to where they originated from!  We utilize our volunteers in each of these states to fundraise and make the PRR Patient Financial Assistance Program available to men and women within these same states keeping the money local to the states it was raised in, “ Faith says. “A $500.00 gift card is given to patients that apply to our Pink Ribbon Riders Assistance Program. The funds can be used for medical bills, gas, food or anything that they need during their fight, in hopes to make one day a little easier.  We understand that research is important, but once you have been diagnosed, it is the daily life stresses that can become overwhelming and potentially cause patients to forego their treatments.”

Faith is a key volunteer for the New York Snow Run, with the next event taking place in Old Forge, NY, on February 13, 2021.

“This will be our 17th NY Snow Run,” exclaims Faith. “I average 8-10 hours a month and 20 plus a month from October to February in support of Pink Ribbon Riders, whether at an event or at trade shows to promote Pink Ribbon Riders.”

In the last 13 years, Faith has raised more than $12,000 for Pink Ribbon Riders. Nationally, the organization has distributed nearly $2 million. “I wanted to take something that I love (snowmobiling) and make a difference as well as help out a good friend! WIN WIN,” she adds. “My biggest reward with PRR is when I travel around the state to present the $500 gift card to patients. There are times when I feel like I can’t help anymore or as much, or my life just gets too busy. But then I get a call from our -founder Jody asking if I can go to an event and present a gift to a patient. That makes everything worth it. I have met some amazing people on this journey.”
