Boiler Decentralization Achieving High Efficiency

Uncategorized

Our boiler design for SUNY Binghamton's East Campus Housing is achieving 90-95% efficiency.

Pathfinder provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing and architectural design for decentralization from the campus boiler plant for the complex (Newing and Dickinson communities), which includes eight dormitory buildings and the Chenango Champlain Collegiate Center. The dormitories total 740,000 sq. ft. and the Collegiate Center is 200,000. ft. The project includes installation of new modular, gas-fired, hot water boiler plants with the capacity to serve the two existing central distribution heating systems for the two communities. This allows the University the capability to heat East Campus Housing with natural gas-fired boilers, rather than coal via the Central Heating Plant.
