Boiler Decentralization

Industry: Higher Education

Services Provided: MEP Engineering

Pathfinder provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing for decentralization from the campus boiler plant for the complex including dormitory buildings and the Chenango Champlain Collegiate Center. The dormitories total 740,000 sq. ft. and the Collegiate Center is 200,000 sq. ft. The project included installation of new modular gas-fired hot water boiler plants with the capacity to serve the two existing central distribution heating systems for the communities. This allows the University the capability to heat East Campus Housing with natural gas-fired boilers rather than coal via the Central Heating Plant.
