Pathfinder, Now IMEG

We transform ideas into award-winning sustainable designs that work—with our focus on meeting your needs through design, quality, efficiency, cost control and schedule.

Our Promise

Provide workable designs that are environmentally sound, have principals personally involved in the work, and offer a broad range of design services.

About Us

Pathfinder, now IMEG, offers mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering,  commissioning, energy services and laser scanning to clients in the private and public sectors.

With offices in Rochester and Buffalo, NY, our demonstrated ability has taken us from its founding to a staff of nearly 50 engineers and designers. Along the way, we have excelled in meeting client demand for innovation, sustainable design, guidance and integrated service.

Capabilities range from upgrades and renovations to the design of new facilities, all with an eye for sustainability and high performance. And, our project teams are as comfortable with design/build as they are with the traditional design/bid/build project delivery process.

Our vision since 1998: To be the firm that employees want to work at and that clients want to hire.

At Pathfinder, we:

• strive for excellence
• lead with head and heart
• learn from others
• seek to develop others
• value the input of everyone on the team

In accomplishing these, we create positive benefits for our projects and our clients.

Nancy Jendryaszek, AIA, LEED AP

Managing Partner

Whether a project focuses on a room, floor, building or campus, Nancy enjoys finding solutions for our clients requirements. These embrace all measures of sustainability and solutions that have positive impacts on people.

David J. Meyer, PE, LEED AP, CEM

Partner

Finding technically sound solutions for high-performance buildings has been a guiding principle for Dave. He balances this with the idea that in order to deliver successful projects, we need to have positive and trusted relationships with clients.

Alex Strasenburgh, PE, LEED AP

Partner

Alex sees buildings as long-term investments which will be around much longer than those who worked on the initial design and construction. It's satisfying for Alex to see his projects used and enjoyed by people and knowing that his work will be there for future generations.

Matthew Meyer, PE, LEED AP

Partner

Matt envisions a project from start to finish, with an eye toward improving building performance, creative design solutions, and fostering client relationships. When Pathfinder and the client team moves forward together, the result is a successful project.

Corey Wilson, PE

Sustainability

At Pathfinder, our commitment to sustainability is genuine and unwavering and has distinguished us since our founding.

Our employees strive to be responsible stewards for the environment.

Key to our design is the integration of high performance into our projects. We continue to be at the forefront in transforming the way buildings are designed, balancing environmentally soundness with social and economic considerations. Our renovations work is focused on Deep Energy Retrofits.

Pathfinder is committed to community, both within our office and in the region.

Communities are where people know each other well, trust and enjoy each other, and work together for the betterment of the community. Being a good neighbor means being committed to the places our employees and clients call home. Throughout the year, Pathfinder employees dedicate time to make a difference in our community, expressing their individual commitment to corporate citizenship and social responsibility.

Each month we select a non-profit organization — one which has meaning for a member of our team — and we support those organizations through fundraisers and volunteerism.
